History of Bora Bora island – The Bora Bora island is located about 240 km from Tahiti, which is the second biggest island of French Polynesia. It is surrounded by many small islands, the so-called “motu” islands. Bora Bora is one of the most amazing and beautiful islands in the Pacific Ocean, which attracts tourists from all parts of the world by its picturesque nature, pearl lagoon, tropical parks, coral reefs, mountain chains with three tops that have a volcanic origin and just wonderful conditions for having good holidays.
Having chosen French Polynesia as a place for spending holidays and having seen the island for the first time, the travelers fell in love with its beauty forever and ever. First of all, Bora Bora Island is famous for its excellent resorts resembling the Polynesian settlements.
The average year temperature on the island is +27 °С. Favorable tropical climate with a gentle sea breeze allows the travelers feel the comfort throughout the year. As there is a tourist flow during the whole year, you have the opportunity to visit the island at hot and humid season (from November till February) or when it’s dry and cool season (from March and till October).
It’s not a big deal to get to the island: boarding the comfortable plane flying from Tahiti will take everyone to Vaitape, the central city in Bora Bora in 40 minutes where you can have a rest in a piece of paradise in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
